Joeris Names New President as Part of Company’s Succession Plan

(San Antonio, TX) – Joeris General Contractors is pleased to announce the firm has named a new president as part of its succession planning process. John Casstevens, the company’s former Chief Operations Officer, will now take the helm as its new president. John will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company’s three offices and 377 employees, as well as taking the lead in the firm’s strategic planning. John, a former construction project manager and project executive, has been with Joeris for more than 20 years and is one of the firm’s employee owners.
When asked about his new role, John stated, “It’s a tremendous honor to be in a position to lead the company where I have worked for over 20 years. I’m excited for the next generation of Joeris leaders and what we still have in front of us to accomplish as a team as we maintain steady and controlled growth.”
Gary Joeris, son of the firm’s founder, Leo Joeris, will continue as Joeris’ Chief Executive Officer. Gary continues to be involved in setting the vision for the company as it continues its growth and development of new regional and vertical markets.
In making the announcement of a new President of the firm, Gary spoke of his desire to position the company for its future. Recognizing the need for daily leadership and insight as Joeris continues its path of successful growth throughout Texas, Gary and Executive Vice President, Stephen Walter, are excited about the opportunities this change will bring for the company and its employees across the state.

“The timing was right,” said Gary. “Stephen has a desire to phase out of company operations and we have a great group of talented individuals ready to lead. John is one of those who is more than ready to take the helm and we are all excited about the energy and passion he brings to the task and challenges ahead. 2016 will be another great year for Joeris, one of many to come.”
