This project consists of ground-up construction of an approximately 165,000 sq.ft. charter school serving nearly 2,000 students from grades K-12 and includes a soccer field with UIL regulation lights, cafeteria/ auditorium, UIL regulation gymnasium for basketball and volleyball competitions, high school science labs, and a band room.
The KIPP San Antonio Cevallos Campus will serve a historically underserved community and is the first high school campus to be built in downtown San Antonio in over 40 years. It was designed to cater to multiple age and education levels, and oriented in such a way on the project site to maximize natural light and wind. The project was completed on a tight schedule and budget while facing numerous challenges due to site remediation of the historic former railyard throughout the duration of the construction phase.
