This project represents the first of two phases in the Trinity University Master Plan to increase the size of their science learning footprint, while incorporating the latest in interdisciplinary design approaches to the learning environment.
The Center for the Sciences and Innovation offers Trinity students and faculty outstanding research and classroom space to promote a truly interdisciplinary approach to scientific research and science education. The project also includes real-world examples of sustainability in a facility that is seeking LEED Silver certification.
The completed project features glass-walled classrooms, study areas, faculty offices, state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratories, enhanced safety features, a café and gathering areas to stimulate student/faculty interaction and discourse, and dramatic design features such as a grand entrance, atrium, and elevated walkways.
