For the KEM West Elm furniture store remodel project, Joeris successfully transformed a dilapidated warehouse space into an open, bright retail space with an industrial charm. The project scope included a new roof, exterior masonry and stucco work, new steel frame windows, new hardscape and landscape, as well as a new parking lot. Some stucco work was also done in the interior. New electrical panels, transformers, and mechanical equipment were also installed. The pre-existing steel beams were left exposed and the concrete floors polished – both of these features adding to the desired industrial aesthetic, a nod to the store’s location in the refurbished Pearl district.
Upon completion, the space was occupied and finished-out by the trendy national furniture retailer, West Elm.
