The new Middle School 18 inspires an enhanced learning experience through a focus on collaborative and outdoor learning spaces. For example, in lieu of a traditional cafeteria, multiple commons areas will be constructed that can be used as both a dining and learning area. Additionally, innovation labs will provide opportunities for the spaces to be used by science classes as well as other STEM-related activities.
Three academic hubs housing classrooms with individual direct access will be constructed. These hubs ensure easy access to the larger community learning environment while also allowing privacy when necessary.
The exterior facade of the building will include stone, brick, and exposed steel.
