The project scope features a new 5-story, 100,000 SF brain health research science facility and an adjacent 500-space parking garage on the UT Health San Antonio Brain Health campus.
The facility will be the first in Texas dedicated to serving the comprehensive brain health needs of patients with Alzheimer’s, PD and ALS. The new facility will provide the space to conduct vital basic science laboratory research and translational research to improve brain health care across Texas and the nation. The parking garage will serve the growing institute and its visitors.
The facility will house dry labs, administrative/educational space, and a non-oncology infusion room for clinical research and patient care. A new imaging suite for Neurology and Neuropsychology services will ensure patients receive ongoing care during clinical trials and imaging procedures. The cutting-edge research facility will house scientists studying neurological illnesses, pharmacology, biochemistry, microbiology, and cancer.
