The new 70,000 SF Fine Arts addition at John Jay High School consists of a 900-seat auditorium with theater-grade sound and lighting equipment, a stage with a full fly loft, a mechanically-operated orchestra pit, little theater, and support spaces. The new building will also house music and art teaching facilities including band halls, orchestra rooms, art classrooms, and ancillary facilities. The existing music facilities will be renovated into a new ALE suite of classrooms and offices.
